Kindness and compassion are as natural for the mind as breathing is for the body. ~ Dr. Dan Siegel

In this presentation Dr. Dan Siegel, clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, Co-Director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center, and a Garrison Institute trustee, speaks of his pioneering work in interpersonal neurobiology, which studies how the brain is influenced by interpersonal relationships.

In his view, the mind itself is both interpersonal and intrapersonal, profoundly connecting people neurologically, physiologically and socially. He called for an approach to “internal education” that teaches children to monitor both their own internal world and the interpersonal world.

This gal in the glass still has work to do. Things sure can change and move forward when you’re living each day with gusto! Each journey begins with a single step…

You do not see your spiritual self because the real you is hidden inside your physical body. Your Soul is the eternal you that is on a journey through the cosmos, discovering that you are illuminated with the same light energy as the stars.  ~ Dr Jeff Mullan

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same as we are liberated from our own fear. Our presence automatically liberates others.” ~ Coach Carter (6/9) Movie CLIP – Our Deepest Fear (2005) #NelsonMandella  (http://wp.me/p6LZBP-7s)

WEEK 17 | The Vibrant Life

To become more conscious is the greatest gift anyone can give to the world; moreover, in a ripple effect, the gift comes back to its source. Out of all-inclusive, unconditional compassion comes the healing of all mankind. Love is misunderstood to be an emotion; actually, it is a state of awareness, a way of being in the world, a way of seeing oneself and others. ~ Dr. David Hawkins

This past week, Week 2 of the Franklin Makeover, we focused on observing kindnesses in all forms, those performed, both secretly and directly, and then proceeded to note them on the makeover chart as to increase awareness.  I am so grateful for the awareness this collective exercise has brought me. I appreciate your presence here with me and thank you for extending your acts of kindness to me with your likes, comments, or shares of this blog as we explore the timeless wisdom of Haanel and the Master Key Experience.  If you would like for your life to be different, you must do things differently. The Master Key Experience provides the steps and tools to implement change into your life.

Always concentrate on the ideal as an already existing fact; this is the germ cell, the life principle which goes forth and sets in motion those causes which guide, direct and bring about the necessary relation, which eventually manifest in form. This is because the Spirit of a thing is the thing itself, the vital part of it, the real substance. The form is simply the outward manifestation of the spiritual activity within.

Vibration is the action of thought; it is vibration which reaches out and attracts the material necessary to construct and build. There is nothing mysterious concerning the power of thought; concentration simply implies that consciousness can be focalized to the point where it becomes identified with the object of its attention. As food absorbed is the essence of the body, so the mind absorbs the object of its attention, gives it life and being. If you concentrate on some matter of importance, the intuitive power will be set in operation, and help will come in the nature of information which will lead to success.

Remember that power comes through repose. Let the thought dwell upon your object, until it is completely identified with it, until you are conscious of nothing else. If you wish to eliminate fear, concentrate on courage. If you wish to eliminate lack, concentrate on abundance. If you wish to eliminate disease, concentrate on health. ~ Haanel
