WEEK 21 | Note to Self

Your only limitations are those you set up in your mind, or permit others to set up for you. Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions; strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts.  ~ Og Mandino

The wise focus on their thoughts and change themselves, and harnessing extreme emotions is often a simple shift from the way people talk to themselves or perceive basic tendencies of their character, ability or purpose that determine their experiences in life.

You can relinquish that power to others or consciously begin to choose your thoughts, mastering change in your life into a place of harmony, no matter where you are now, what has happened or what the seemingly impossible impasse may be because every single circumstance of your life can change. The world without corresponds to the world within.

We can live more abundantly every time we breathe, if we consciously breathe with that intention. Your persistent positive and predominant mental attitude of life and desires is the magnet in your hands!

The growth of believing in yourself and the ability to eliminate imperfect conditions depends upon mental action, and mental action depends upon consciousness of power; therefore, the more conscious we become of our unity the the source of all power, the greater will be our power to control and master every condition. The mental attitude is patterned after the mental pictures which have been photographed on the brain; if you do not like the pictures, then destroy the negatives and create new pictures. This is the art of visualization.

As this week’s reading of Haanel states in 21-16: If the desire is one which requires determination, ability, courage, power or any other spiritual power, these are necessary essentials for your picture; build them in; they are the vital part of the picture; they are the feeling which combines with thought and creates the irresistible magnetic power which draws the things you require to you. They give your picture life, and life means growth, and as soon as it begins to grow, the result is practically assured.

21-17: Do not hesitate to aspire to the highest possible attainments in anything you may undertake, for the mind forces are ever ready to lend themselves to a purposeful will in the effort to crystallize its highest aspirations into acts, accomplishments, and events.

When we come into recognition of the Unity of all things and that the source of all power is within, we tap the source of inspiration. Inspiration is from within and the art of self-realization; the art of adjusting the individual mind to that of the Universal Mind; the art of attaching the proper mechanism to the source of all power; the art of differentiating the formless into form; the art of becoming a channel for the flow of Infinite Wisdom; the art of visualizing perfection; the art of realizing the omnipresence of Omnipotence.

“Dance while you can – even if there is no music.
Laugh at the wonder of life – even if there is no reason to.
Smile at everyone – even if they don’t smile back.
Enjoy this precious moment – even if no-one else is.
Love whatever enchants you – even if there is nothing in return.”
~ Dr Jeff Mullan

When life grows dark, remember the light at the end of the tunnel…is you. Whether things are bad or good, cultivate the ‘me that watches me.’ It’s only natural to experience times that are difficult and painful, no matter who you are. Those are times when anyone would feel tempted to give up on their dream. However, if you try to avoid adversity, you’ll end up succumbing to the external environment or to your own limitations. You’re able to demonstrate the creative wisdom that can overcome the difficulty only if you face it bravely and assertively; and you will grow through your hardship. ~ Ilchi Lee
